About us

At Homestead Harvest, our story begins with family — and grows from there.

My father started a bakery in the 1990s that grew into a franchise, built on an uncompromising belief in quality, freshness, and the best ingredients. I worked that bakery, and I learned from the inside what it truly means to care about what you put on someone's table.

Years later, my husband Tom, a 9/11 First Responder, encouraged me to share my baking and cooking with the world. Tom never doubted my abilities for a single moment. When he was diagnosed with 9/11 related cancer, I finally listened — to help our family, to stay nearby, and to have something that kept me connected to the world. There's something irreplaceable about showing up at a farmers market on a Saturday morning, meeting people, sharing food, and being part of a community.

I started Homestead Harvest on our homestead in the Hudson Valley, where I raise chickens whose eggs go directly into my baking, grow mulberries and wineberries for my jams and jellies, and forage on our own land. Everything is made from scratch, from my own recipes, with the same standard my father instilled in me decades ago.

Along the way I've been fortunate to earn some recognition: a published recipe in a Kraft cookbook, a Top Recipe of the Year on Allrecipes.com, features in Allrecipes magazine, and an appearance on The Better Show on national television. A new publication is coming this month.

But none of that matters as much as what happens at the farmers market table on a Saturday morning, when someone tastes something and their face changes.

That's why we do this. For our family. For yours.
